Details
The Longstar VLS-1P-CC is a camera unit designed to receive either Ethernet or PoE signals over new or legacy coaxial cable and then separate the signal to send along standard network cabling to any standard IP device. It is an ideal solution for installing IP cameras in places where connecting to the internet is tricky, such as underground train stations, large warehouses, or historical buildings.
Please note that the camera unit works in partnership with a base unit at the opposite end of the coaxial cable, this has to be purchased separately to the camera unit.

The diagram below show POE models of HIGHWIRE Longstar enable both network data and power to be carried over extended lengths of new or exisiting coaxial cable.
For most installations, a POE input from a POE switch or injector will deliver enough power for both the HIGHWIRE Longstar units and the camera. If additional power and range is required, or as an alternative to a POE source, a 57V DC power supply may be connected at the BASE side. In some cases where cable length and/or quality does not support the required power, a 57V power supply may be connected at the CAMERA side, which provides a full POE output.
